John J. Hood, Jr. E-mail John Hood The focus of our practice is to assist the small and medium sized business owner. Often these companies need the services of a CPA or Controller, but are not yet large enough to have one on staff. The experiences that I have gained from serving a wide variety of clientele have equipped me to assist many business owners and individuals with their accounting and financial needs. Included in this experience is using QuickBooks software in a variety of settings. Using QuickBooks right out of the box can be frustrating, but we have developed solutions using QuickBooks and provide training that takes away much of the frustration and provides the information that you need. I currently serve on the board of directors and as an officer of a corporation that is international in scope. From this experience, I have gained the perspective of the overall operations of a business. As a CPA who has worked with two different ownership groups listed in the Fortune 500 list of the wealthiest individuals, I have seen tax planning techniques that maximize wealth while meeting the goals of the client. Quite often these same techniques can work to build the wealth of individuals of more modest means. As a former partner in a small business, and owner of my firm, I can relate to the needs and desires of the small business client. I am a graduate of the University of Tulsa, year 1980, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). I am licensed in both Kansas and Missouri and currently assist clients with business interests in several states. Myrna R. Jost E-mail Myrna Jost After studying business and accounting at Tabor College from 1976 to 1978, I
worked five years in a small business, followed by two and a half years in
banking. I took some time off to start a family and then joined the firm in
1998. Over the past thirteen years I have kept my accounting skills honed by
volunteering as
Assistant Treasurer for Community Bible Church. |
